Test-Drive Meme

This meme serves as a practice ground for both new and old players of Somarium to both get used to Dreamwidth tagging and to voicetest characters they may choose to play in the upcoming application cycle. Potential applicants are more than welcome to join in on the fun. It works like any open meme and the rules are simple.

1. Post with your character
2. Roll 1-6 on the RNG

1. You decide to head to the mountain. You heard that there were odd creatures lurking about and choose to investigate. Instead you bump into someone who just so happens to be in the mountain as well.

2. It's your first time creating a dream plane. So far so good. But it looks like you've got some visitors joining you as well.

3. A part of the underground tunnels collapsed and some people are trapped in the rubble. They're asking for a few good men to lend a hand. Are you up for it?

4. The Host Club is holding a big formal event and you were invited to it! Let's hope you have your +1 at your side during the event. Unless you're the wallflower type of course. Well, tough luck. People are bothering you anyway.

5. It's moving in day! Whether it be your character's or another's, there's a lot of boxes to haul into the place so better get started. Go go go!

[Kay crosses her arms and scowls.]

And I can help get those people out, I know I can! Somehow...

I just need something to do. I've had enough of standing around.

[She looks up at him and nods once. Her scowl disappears, replaced by a look of interest.]

Yeah. Are you gonna make me solve one?

Yes.

[He reaches into his jacket and pulls out a small journal, of which he tears a page out. He also has a pen, which he draws this shape.]



Now, what I want you to do is put the numbers one through eight in each of these boxes. However, you can't have any number adjacent to another number in a box adjacent to it. One and two can't be touching, two and three, and so on. And diagonal counts as adjacent.

[Kay peers at the page. She has to admit, she's intrigued and would like to try solving it. But...]

...How is that related to the rescue?

It's not. But at this point in the rescue, what's needed are big strong men. When there's rubble clear and small spaces to be fit through and that sort of thing, then they'll need you.

Patience is a virtue.

You have a point. Okay. [She takes the page from his hand, and finds her own pen in her bag. Predictably, it's a pink pen.]

[He is patient, watching both her and the men with his hands folded behind his back.]

So...it's kinda like sudoku? [She clicks her pen but doesn't write anything just yet.]
