Test-Drive Meme: September 2012

This meme serves as a practice ground for both new and old players of Somarium to both get used to voicetest characters they may choose to play in the upcoming application cycle. Potential applicants are more than welcome to join in on the fun. It works like any open meme and the rules are simple.

1. Post with your character and their name and canon on the subject line.

1. Looks like the Ob Holm bazaar is having a sale. There's a few interesting trinkets here and there but maybe you need a little help deciding what to buy.

2. The dreamgate isn't accessible for the return trip back from Endouto to Ob Holm so it looks like you're stuck for a couple of days. Maybe it's time you gather some supplies or explore the area.

3. Someone just stole something off of you! Quick! Call for help or chase after them!

4. You know what's a good thing about that resort in Ob Holm? It's got a pretty cool oasis to chill at. Talk about a five star vacation.

5. Somehow you're taking a trip on Cid's airship over the desert. Whether to Somarium, Ob Holm or Endouto is up to you!

6. Reroll or go crazy and make something up!

[She nods her head, and places the pendant back with the rest of them to turn and face her crew mate .]

Yes. I have no internal information programmed on Ob Holm, and the data provided by the Dreamberry was... insufficient, to say the least. Learning about what to expect here seems best achieved on foot.

Things would've been a lot easier if you actually had that sort of information programmed into you.

[Because trust him, he's tried to look for information himself but it doesn't look like that kind of thing existed here. Maybe it was to be expected from such an archaic period.]

I suppose you're able to see a different perspective this way.

Nothing is ever that easy, but you are right. It would certainly be convenient. [She takes a moment to process that.] A different perspective is nice, sometimes. I will try my hardest to gathering relevant information, and to store it in the Dreamberry somewhere you may easily access.

[A smile quirks on her metallic lips, but despite that her expression is relatively deadpan.]

Unfortunately, most civillians here have been reluctant to share what they know. They have been giving me odd looks. Perhaps a different approach might be necessary. I was thinking killer-robot.

[Unlike Shepard, Garrus likes the jokes EDI makes. It's her delivery that you had to admire.]

If you really were one, I'd imagine there'd be a slew of bodies at your wake by now.

[All of the positive feedback ever. Garrus, she likes you. She's pleased that her special brand of humour can be appreciated by at least someone. Though, she can't deny how fun it is to mess with Shepard.]

There would be, not that anyone would know. I clean up after myself very well.

[Garrus will have to agree there. He and Shepard may make a couple of jokes here and there but the look on her face at some of the things others say is always priceless.]

Even in a crowded place like this? Might be a little hard to hide all the bodies where no one would see. I don't think anyone would like the idea of a burning them either.

Do not underestimate the effectiveness of Incinerate. A body turned instantly to ash is a body that cannot be traced.

[This conversation is becoming pleasantly morbid. She's never able to get this far with Shepard, maybe sometimes with Jeff, so more brownie points for Garrus.]

[Brownie points were always good but Garrus knows when to stop pushing the joke any further than it should go.]

But a missing body would only lead to the authorities asking questions that we might not be able to answer. I'm sure Shepard won't be able to turn a blind eye to that either.

[She takes a moment to ponder to herself, the smirk on her smooth robotic features shifts into something a little more thoughtful.]

I see. It would appear that this is what Jeff was referring to when he spoke of the stick.

[You know, the stick up his ass? Ha. Ha. Ooops did she say that out loud?]
