Test-Drive Meme: September 2012

This meme serves as a practice ground for both new and old players of Somarium to both get used to voicetest characters they may choose to play in the upcoming application cycle. Potential applicants are more than welcome to join in on the fun. It works like any open meme and the rules are simple.

1. Looks like the Ob Holm bazaar is having a sale. There's a few interesting trinkets here and there but maybe you need a little help deciding what to buy.

2. The dreamgate isn't accessible for the return trip back from Endouto to Ob Holm so it looks like you're stuck for a couple of days. Maybe it's time you gather some supplies or explore the area.

3. Someone just stole something off of you! Quick! Call for help or chase after them!

4. You know what's a good thing about that resort in Ob Holm? It's got a pretty cool oasis to chill at. Talk about a five star vacation.

5. Somehow you're taking a trip on Cid's airship over the desert. Whether to Somarium, Ob Holm or Endouto is up to you!

6. Reroll or go crazy and make something up!

I see...

[So, Loke just appeared there just like her. It wasn't that she regaied the power to contact her spirits, much to her disappintment. Still, seeing him was a big relief for her.]

Everybody here says that this place is a dream world, and that we're stuck here for who knows how long.

[It's evident from her expression that she's still upset with it, but at least getting used this place.]

It's still great to see you, though. [Lucy has such a gentle smile on her face now.] I know it's selfish of me. Still, I cannot help but feel relieved.

[ It was quite subtle but by her expression alone, he could tell the idea of this place bothered her. Not that he was pleased with the idea either, frowning for just a second or two ]

A dream world, huh? By the sounds of that, would that mean we're asleep in our own world?

[ Then he nodded softly at her words, as he then leaned in with a smile on his lips to match hers, a hand reaching out to brush some of her blond bangs from in front of her eyes. ] The feeling is mutual, Lucy.

I'm glad to see you here doing well. I cannot bear to think what it would have been like to spend more time here without you.

[This place was bothering her, indeed. She was dyin with worry about her friends (both her friens from guild and stellar spirits). At the very least, she wasn't alone, so she could keep herself sane. Natsu had been with her. Now, she met Loke here too, and shewas able to feel warm inside, even if it's just a litle bit.]

It must be like that, exactly. [A nod follows her words.]

Always with those flirty lines, though...

[This time, she chuckles slightly. She would pout if they were back in their world, but right now, it makes her feel all the warmer. For a moment, she considered touching him on the shoulder.]

Anyways, were you looking for something here?

[ The idea of this place was just entirely too weird for him but at the same time it wasn't like it was impossible. It could explain how he could exist here without her having summoned him or anything like that. Whatever it is that pulled them into this dream world had to be some kind of magic, if he had to guess.

However her words are enough to bring him back out of his train of thought, his smile never faltering in the least as he offered a small nod of his head. ]

I was. I supposed as long as I'm here I would look for a gift for someone I know~

[ In other words he means Lucy but this is Loke trying to be subtle. At least for the most part, his attitude surely unchanged as it was. ]

It cannot just be a regular thing, though. It should be something beautiful to match her beauty of course.

[Loke's words seem to have distracted her enough that she had a more relaxed expression on her face. Well, she's more than distracted. Let's put two and two together. Loke doesn't know any other girl than Lucy, so he must be looking for a gift for her. It makes her blush slightly. Yes, she's gotten more comfortable with Loke's flirting recently, but a gift is completely something new. It feels great when somebody cares about her enough to give you a gift. Still, she cannot be so sure now, can she?]

Loke, w-who is that gift for?

[Yes, she's usually confident with her looks, but it's a completely different matter when someone else compliments on it. Really, even though she dislikes playboys, Loke just knows his way with words too well. It still reaches her, no matter how hard she resists.]

[ A small chuckle followed her question as he moved to gently grab her hand and raised it up to his lips, just enough so he could place a kiss on the back of it. Eyes even looking over the rims of his tinted blue sunglasses at her. ]

[ They sound so sincere, to match that endless smile on his face. He means it as he hadn't found the proper way to thank her for taking Aries' key as well as the others. ]
