Test-Drive Meme: September 2012

This meme serves as a practice ground for both new and old players of Somarium to both get used to voicetest characters they may choose to play in the upcoming application cycle. Potential applicants are more than welcome to join in on the fun. It works like any open meme and the rules are simple.

1. Post with your character and their name and canon on the subject line.

1. Looks like the Ob Holm bazaar is having a sale. There's a few interesting trinkets here and there but maybe you need a little help deciding what to buy.

2. The dreamgate isn't accessible for the return trip back from Endouto to Ob Holm so it looks like you're stuck for a couple of days. Maybe it's time you gather some supplies or explore the area.

3. Someone just stole something off of you! Quick! Call for help or chase after them!

4. You know what's a good thing about that resort in Ob Holm? It's got a pretty cool oasis to chill at. Talk about a five star vacation.

5. Somehow you're taking a trip on Cid's airship over the desert. Whether to Somarium, Ob Holm or Endouto is up to you!

6. Reroll or go crazy and make something up!

[Rhyme laughs along her friend. Although it's a pure kind of laughter, not at all deceitful or victorious. She genuinely had fun.]

[She open her bag up.] There's a scarf in here, and a hat. There was a cute little sun dress on sale too!

[Even if Labrys knew how this place worked, she couldn't help but express sadness and disappointment that Rise doesn't recognize her.]

I ain't sure of the exact date, but I think one of ya mentioned that it was "Golden Week". 'Round 2013, somethin' like that.

[This conversation is becoming pleasantly morbid. She's never able to get this far with Shepard, maybe sometimes with Jeff, so more brownie points for Garrus.]

[Rhyme leans forward and looks into the bag. She thinks she can make out the items, but can't really tell for sure what they look like until they're taken out. Oh well. Shiki has a great taste in clothing and accessories so she's sure they're something fantastic.]

[Rhyme walks towards the direction Beat pointed at and stops in front of the first stall that catches her attention. Even though they vastly differ in personalities and have only known each other for a few weeks, Rhyme has a good sense as to what Beat likes. Rhyme always assumes it to be a lucky coincidence however.]

Then what can be said of the Baratheon brothers? One slaughtered babes will not the depravity spread?
[ her tone is curious, tinted with bitterness at the memory. her nieces and nephews slain before they'd ever known life. ]

I don't get it myself either, but when I got thrown in th' TV, I guess the whole place got turned into y'school or something? Then you guys rescued me, even though I was a machine and caused trouble for you all. [Labrys gives a bright smile at the last part, making it clear that she thought very fondly of the Investigation Team.]

There is one Baratheon brother who is true, leal, and just--and worthy because he is the Lord of Light's chosen.

[ daenerys watches her carefully, doesn't slacken her shoulders at her smile or red eyes. she has a fire too, you see, in her blood. her own smile is humored at best. ]

[Rhyme watches Beat for a second before going through the chains herself. There's a lot in his style...but they look too close to the chains he's already wearing. Although she doesn't mean to, Rhyme's attention strays to a box of pins placed underneath the display.]

Hey, Beat, look!

[She takes one from the box and holds it up for him to see: it's a gray pin with a stylized 'B' on it.]

Doesn't this look like those pins from Wild Boar? [Rhyme hesitates, her hand holding the pin dropping a little.] Um...you still remember Wild Boar, right?

[Rhyme glances back to where she left Beat, but he seems to be having fun going through the stalls. It'll be OK to leave him alone for now, right?]

OK, but I've got to come back here later. [She points at her partner.] Where are we going?
