Test-Drive Meme

This meme serves as a practice ground for both new and old players of Somarium to both get used to Dreamwidth tagging and to voicetest characters they may choose to play in the upcoming application cycle. Potential applicants are more than welcome to join in on the fun. It works like any open meme and the rules are simple.

1. You decide to head to the mountain. You heard that there were odd creatures lurking about and choose to investigate. Instead you bump into someone who just so happens to be in the mountain as well.

2. It's your first time creating a dream plane. So far so good. But it looks like you've got some visitors joining you as well.

3. A part of the underground tunnels collapsed and some people are trapped in the rubble. They're asking for a few good men to lend a hand. Are you up for it?

4. The Host Club is holding a big formal event and you were invited to it! Let's hope you have your +1 at your side during the event. Unless you're the wallflower type of course. Well, tough luck. People are bothering you anyway.

5. It's moving in day! Whether it be your character's or another's, there's a lot of boxes to haul into the place so better get started. Go go go!

[Leon is sitting on the stone steps of the castle, surveying his work in the dream plane. It is something of a personal project of his to rebuild the Kingdom of Camelot. The castle itself isn't there yet; just the steps and the main entrance. It's the courtyard that he's working on now, but it is barely up to par with what he has in his memory.

With the dream-castle in this state, he's a little embarrassed when he realizes that Merlin has somehow managed to get in and see all this.

He greets the boy with an awkward smile and promptly looks away] ...silly, isn't it? But I lept at the chance when I heard it could be done. It's nothing like the actual Camelot but building it puts my mind at ease.

[forstandan]

It's wonderful. [looking out over what Leon has so far] I mean it, even just a little bit, it's amazing what you can do with this.

[like magic—but he doesn't say it.]

Amazing is the right word.

I wish I paid more attention to certain things... like these steps, [indicates where he is seated] I've lived in the castle all my life but I haven't the slightest idea how many steps there are. [he laughs] It's a little mortifying, to be honest!

[forstandan]

Nah, who thinks about the number of steps they climb? [grinning at Leon] I couldn't tell you that, either. Few people could, not with something that much a habit.

[touching the stone beneath him]

But you've got the stone—the texture, even the crack in that one.

Couldn't forget that crack even if I tried. Percival's to blame for it, you know.

What did he do this time?

He tried to carry an anvil to Elyan's room.

[forstandan]

[covers his mouth to stifle a snort]

Is it worth asking why?

The answer should be obvious. The others dared him to do it. He completely failed, in case you were wondering. [sigh. the things he has to put up with]
